Lol’s orange punk jacket and pants from the thrift store and pointy boots. The album that went with this outfit was the Clash’s first album. The picture on the back of the album is the Notting Hill Gate carnival.

Lol is in it mentally and spiritually.  “We’re a garage band, we come from Garageland.”

The Stranglers on the college juke box for Budgie. For Lol, it was white punks on dope on the college juke box.

Janie Jones was the track for Budgie on The Clash album. The lyrics were it for Budgie. The message was the thing for Budgie and Lol.

Lol’s No Change jacket was his Clash clothes. Ian Curtis had a No Future jacket.

Lol danced with Jean Jaques and lived!

The Clash at Top Rank Bingo and the Leisure Center, a faceless new-brutalist building.

The tabloids bought the police to the gigs; Joe tried to calm the crowds and get off the PA!  Undercurrent of violence. Budgie met Paul Simonon steel brush hair and chiseled features. Attitude was key!
